Our amazing speakers
Richard E. A. Robertson is a Professor of Geology and past Director of the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre. He studied Geology and Volcanology at Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies in Jamaica and Leeds University, United Kingdom. Robertson has served as a consultant for UNESCO, the Organization of American States and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Ms. Michelle Forbes, Director of the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) since May 27, 2017, holds a Bachelor's in International Disaster Engineering and Management from Coventry University and a Master's in Public Administration with a Graduate Certificate in Disaster Management from Georgia State University, achieved through a Fulbright Scholarship. She oversees disaster preparedness and response initiatives to ensure community safety and resilience.
